Gilles Campagnolo

A full research professor at the French Center for Scientific Research/ Aix-Marseilles School of Economics, France and a Visiting Professor at Hokkaido University, Japan, Campagnolo heads the Network of European Union elite network program LIBEAC uniting partners from France, Great-Britain, Italy, Czech Republic, Japan (Hokkaido U.) and China (Beijing U. and Tsinghua U.)

After studying at Paris Ecole Normale Supérieure,  Harvard (Augustus Clifford Tower Fellow) and Tokyo University, he taught philosophy and economics at Paris Sorbonne University, Aix-Marseilles University (France), was a special student (Monbukagakusho) at Tokyo University, visiting assistant Professor at Nichibunken (Kyoto), visiting professor at Saitama University and Rikkyo University (Tokyo) and is regularly invited at research institutions in Japan, China and South Korea.

Gilles Campagnolo also studies economic philosophy and peace and war issues in applied ethics. He hosted the “Third International Conference of Economic Philosophy” held at Aix-en-Provence in 2016. He is a known specialist of the Austrian school of economic thought, he is internationally famous as a specialist of the Austrian school (Menger, Hayek) and has published a monograph and edited collective volumes with Routledge. He is the Co-Chief Editor of the Review of Economic Philosophy.
