Education today is changing. Online classes have become more common. ​Student bodies are becoming more international, and study abroad opportunities are increasing. Growing elderly populations, particularly in Japan, have led to new educational opportunities for nontraditional students. Colleges and universities are also inextricably tied to current events, from the protests in Hong Kong in 2019, to colleges’ response to Coronavirus around the world.
